In our work as consultant, facilitator or coach we come across leaders from all spheres of industry and community facing questions like: ‘What is the image I create in people’s mind? What is the image and impression I want to build? Why is there a huge disparity in my own reading of my image and the impressions others carry about me? How do I influence, motivate, and enroll others?’

All these questions translate in to “What is the Personal Leadership Brand I have”?

The question is not trivial.

“Everyone has a personal brand, whether they like it or not,” says Montoya, author of The Brand Called You and The Personal Branding Phenomenon.

The goal must be to craft that brand so that it creates a clear and memorable impression about who you are and what you do. A leadership brand conveys your identity and distinctiveness as a leader.

It communicates the value you offer.

Furthermore, choosing a leadership brand helps give you focus. When you clearly identify what you want to be known for, it is easier to let go of the tasks and projects that do not let you deliver on that brand. Instead, you can concentrate on the activities that do.

In the corporate sector, your branding plays an important role in your day to day dealing with your subordinates, peers, superiors, stakeholders and customers. In the social, education and health sectors, you’re branding influences how much people trust and support your work.

Both of us have been researching and working on ways and methods to Discover, Articulate and Live your ‘Authentic Personal Brand’. We are happy to present the culmination of our sincere efforts as an experiential process for the benefit of those who would like to make a conscious, consistent and clear representation of their authentic self.

This blog is a space to share our own learnings and discoveries, alongside with the explorations and discoveries of those who undertake this inside-out journey along with us.
