Human Resources

1. Knowledge@wharton: (Human resources Section) it is one of the best sites to explore with great research material and articles to browse through at no cost. You can also take the membership for them to send you the monthly e-zine. Website http://knowledge.wharton.upenn.edu/

2. The CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development ) magazine can be accessed at

You will get details of current HR practices and research.

4. For human resources best practices sharing and information I like the Best Practices LLC site : http://www3.best-in-class.com/ Please refer the human resources section for HR research. Even the other sections are pretty interesting in you have time in hand.

5. For Training and development my favourite site is T+D magazine published by American Society for Training and Development. You can access the magazine online in the official site of ASTD. http://www.astd.org/

6. As the foundation of the Human resources management is build on applied psychology it is always interesting to explore the research in this area. If you do not get chance to read books in the applied behavioral sciences area but want to know more on current and past research I would recommend the journal of applied behavioral sciences. This can be accessed at :

7. http://www.hrmguide.com/ Captures Human resources management related articles and resources in US.
http://www.hrmguide.co.uk/ provides the current practices and research articles from UK.

8. http://jhr.uwpress.org/ is the website for journal of Human Resources published by Wisconsin University Press. They have good empirical research papers in the area of human resource management.

 

Leadership And Change :

10. Harvard Business School publishes HBS working knowledge which is a great website for people like us who want to access world’s best research and articles without having to pay for it.

11. Some of the great Motivational Videos speeches, experience sharing and research sharing can be accessed at  http://www.ted.com/ it has videos for everyone. One of the most exhaustive video sections capturing different walks of life.

12. I also like the inspirational videos from http://www.walkthetalk.com/. This has a different appeal and day to day practice. Some of the thoughts are nice and easy to implement. These are also good videos to share with your teams.

13. Centre for Creative Leadership publishes articles with interesting insights. You can access their website :  http://www.ccl.org/leadership/about/index.aspx In the “connect with CCL” section you can see number of magazines and journals published. My favourite is “leading effectively”. You can subscribe to this magazine online.

14. Adizes is one of the truly great innovators of our times. He cuts through pretentious management principles to get to the core of what it takes to bring about effective change in organizations.  http://www.adizes.com/
